Introduction
The protection of the personal data of the members and associates of the Association “GREEK NEWSPACE SOCIETY” is our primary concern. For this reason, we take all necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure that the processing of your data is carried out in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), as well as the applicable Greek legislative framework.
This information concerns your registration as a member in the Association under the name “GREEK NEWSPACE SOCIETY”
hereinafter referred to as the Association and your participation in events, programs and actions organized by the Association.
Who is Responsible for your personal data (“Data Controller”)
The Data Controller is the Association with the name “ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΟΣ ΣΥΛΛΟΓΟΣ ΝΕΑΣ ΔΙΑΣΤΗΜΙΚΗΣ ΟΙΚΟΝΟΜΙΑΣ” and International Name “GREEK NEWSPACE SOCIETY”, headquartered at Kallithea, Andreas Syggrou Street 196, P.O. Box 17671, Greece, email: [email protected], website: gr.nss.org who in this capacity collects, processes and maintains the following personal data
exclusively and only for the following specific purposes:

2. Tax Registration Number (Τ.Ι.Ν.)
3. Identity Card Number
4. Contact telephone number
5. Email address

8. Experience in subjects related to the activities of the Association
9. Photos and videos during participation in events or actions of the Association
If you do not wish your photos to be taken/published, you can object now or at a later time. The objection must be made within a reasonable time from
the scheduled event/event.
Purposes and Legal Basis for Data Processing
Your personal data are used exclusively for the following purposes:
1. Contract execution and member registration management.
2. Communication and informing you regarding your participation in the Association’s programs, actions and events.
3. Issuance of receipts and tax documents.
4. Legitimate interest of the Association, such as promoting the actions and events through the publication of photos and videos on the website gr.nss.org, on social media or other media.
5. Maintaining a file for historical, statistical or reporting purposes, taking data protection measures (anonymization, encryption).

* Members have the option to opt-in to receive newsletters and can withdraw this consent at any time (with an opt-out option).
Who has access to your personal data?
The Association may provide access to your personal data exclusively to:
1. Partners who provide website support and hosting services.
2. Technical consultants and IT support services.
3. Email automation service providers.
4. Public or other authorities, if required by law or in the event of their legitimate request.
5. Organizations such as the NSS (National Space Society), of which GrNSS is a branch, to maintain the relationship and inform it about our
activities.
The transfer is made while ensuring the confidentiality of your data.
Period of Retention of Your Personal Data
Your data will be retained throughout your membership or participation in the Association’s activities. After withdrawal or deletion, the data may be retained for an additional period of time not exceeding 5 years, in order for the Association to comply with legal obligations, such as tax or other regulatory requirements. In the event of specific legal or regulatory obligations, the Association reserves the right to retain the data for a longer period.
Your rights regarding your personal data
In accordance with the law, you have the following rights:
1. Right to Information regarding the processing of your personal data.
2. Right to Access your data.
3. Right to Correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
4. Right to Erasure (“right to be forgotten”) under certain conditions.
