Involves young GrNSS members in the organization of local hackathons for students and young professionals in Greece, in the context of the NASA International Space Apps Challenge.
WHAT
NASA Space Apps Challenge is an international hackathon in cities around the globe, where teams engage with NASA’s free and open data to address real-world problems on Earth and in space. In a 48-hour sprint, participants hack solutions to challenges that NASA proposes, creating games, computer apps, videos, teaching tools, and more. Space Apps is a NASA-led initiative organized in collaboration with Booz Allen Hamilton, Mindgrub and SecondMuse.
HOW
Space Apps gives you the opportunity to bring projects to life for a wide range of applications. Greek NewSpace Society organizes Space Apps in Thessaloniki and Piraeus, Greece, and invites all curious and enthusiastic problem solvers, regardless of their backgrounds, to join the challenge and experience, experiment, and explore solutions to our universe’s biggest challenges. Grab the chance and bring your team in or let us do the mix & matching, and tackle a challenge using robotics, data visualisation, hardware, design and many other specialties.
